I flicked through WHO just before I left for home yesterday and I saw this thread and just assumed it was a parody or wind up.
Then I saw on Sky Sports that it is true and we are interested in an unknown French Ghanaian from their 2nd Division and it isn't a wind up.
This "next level" that you hear so much about, I suppose it could the next level down.

Ha ha ha ha! The next level on a shoestring. FMOB it's laughable. I'm sure we had to fight off Arsenal, Man Utd & Citeh, Chelsea, Liverpool & Tottenham et al for this next level player.
Tony Gale just called the owners out on Sky when he pointed out that the nett spend for WH last year and this, is only £4m if Sakho goes to Rennes. I guess the lesson I have learnt is that one should never believe any thing a billionaire tells you. Shit we can't even keep up with WBA & Watford!

TBF, he plays in the 2nd division over there 'cos Lorient got relegated last year. Not much he could have done about that, they've been catastrophic since their manager of 10 plus years left in 2014. Bear in mind, Sakho was in the French 2nd division when he signed for us and we got one good season out of him
I don't know a whole lot about him but there was certainly a lot of hype about him the season before last. Would he be my first choice signing ? Er, maybe not.
Would I take him at this stage as back up for Chicharito ? Most def, as they say in the 'hood, given the likelihood of anything better under this shower...
